THE TERRITORIAL GOVERNING CHURCH

The implication of the New Birth is that we have received a new kingdom albeit a spiritual one and this kingdom seeks complete expression in all realms of man. The plan of God is that no locale or territory of man will function outside of the influence and the control of the Body of Christ, which is the eternal organ which God has ordained from the foundation of the worlds to reveal the wisdom and power of His eternal kingdom. (Eph 3:9-11) And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord Reality have revealed otherwise, this is because many territories of man operate without a functional ecclesia. This is irrespective of thousands of physically present denominations and gatherings, of which some of them are rather tools in the hand of the Enemy. Therefore, it is not possible for the Holy Ghost to exact His full influence in territories, long enough for the church to become the governing spiritual influence of that location. The church that has allowed the full expression of the Spirit in His agenda to superimpose the philosophy and government of the kingdom of God on the terrestrial plain to the point that it has become preeminent is a Territorial Governing Church. The impact and method of the Territorial Governing Church is mostly spiritual, but the effect is both spiritual and physical. A point will come when all organs of the territory comes under its control and this is the zenith of her strength. At this point sustaining this impetus becomes paramount, though history has shown cases of decline at this point. From the scriptures, the new born church in the book of Acts attained this status. Though it is a young church, but it was able to become the ruling influence in the territory. (Act 6:7) And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. From the ministry of Apostle Paul, the influence spread even to all of Asian minor and majority of the Roman Empire. (Act 19:10) And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. Acts 19:10-12. Extra-biblical texts that are historically compliant with the bible also shows that after about300 years of the church, they have conquered most of North Africa through ministry of Bishop Athanasius the 20th Bishop of Alexandria and the rest of the world. Such was the glory, power, influence and stature of that church and by doing so set an example to them who will come after them, even the last-days church. Taking into account this young church in the book of Acts that conquered the world, there are few mindsets and orientation that they had; 1; Their Alignment: They were strenuously interested in doing what is the will of God. The voice of God in all prescription and instruction is their motivating factor. (Act 5:29) Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. 2; Their Consecration: They gave up legitimate things that limited them and had the lifestyle that made them more effective in discharging their mandate. (Act 4:32) And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any [of them] that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 3; Their Emphasis: Their emphasis was on prayers and the word. Every other necessary thing becomes additional or delegated to skilled and specialized personnel. (Act 6:4) But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. 4; Their Message: Their message was Christ, His Gospel and the kingdom He brought. Acts 5:42, 8:5-12, 14:7 5; Their Method: They adopted a most effective way, which is obviously motivated by the Spirit to propagate their emphasis and message. And the method they adopted was a; Doctrine b; Power. (Act 4:33) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. (Act 5:28) Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. 6; Their Urgency Mindset: This is because of their expectation of the Lord’s imminent return. So they walked like pilgrims and lived like hermits. Acts 1:10-12 THE SETUP OF A TERRITORIAL GOVERNING CHURCH 1; Formation of a Functional Ecclesia Believers who are consecrated to the will of God only and is dedicated to seeing it come to pass must start forming in a given territory. The greater the number, the better but number is not a major matter. If God’s required quorum is formed, then he will begin to work in their midst. Represented fully in this would be all the gifts of Christ in their number and stature. (Act 13:1) Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. This might take a specific enquiry or by the sovereign work of the Spirit. This is irrespective of denominations and whether gather together in one place or not but it is to be in synchrony in the spirit. This is where the width, scope and authority of the territorial ecclesia is defined. 2; Waiting and Warfare This is where and when the functional ecclesia begins to seek the mind of God concerning their territory and through strict obedience begin the dismantling of spiritual structures that has previously installed itself against the genuine government of God in that territory. The major activities taking place at this time include but not limited to: A, Prayers, Fasting and Priesthood B, Prophetic Actions C, Strategic Gatherings D, Capacity Building Also, the Holy Spirit takes advantage of this period and begins to incubate the ordinations of certain amidst the ecclesia for general and specific assignments, dealing with limitations in them. So the seasons of warfare and waiting in intense and brutal prayers, fastings, watchings, persecutions, trials, attacks etc. is the sign that a territorial governing church is emerging in a locale. Outpouring and Revival The major result of an intense waiting on God by a territorial ecclesia is the outpouring of the Spirit of God in that territory. This is quite different from a personal revival or outpouring. Though individual and subjective revivals are good, but there impact is always measured. Despite how much Jesus Christ was anointed in His earthly ministry and the occasional ministry escapades of the disciples, the impact was still measured. This is because the work of the Holy Spirit as of that moment, though intense and able to make a few submitted people sporadically powerful; it is unable to enthrone the kingdom and its perspective on the territory. So the Lord Jesus Christ commanded them to wait. Acts 1:4-8. This is because He knows it takes a scepter of authority and power to exact the influence of the kingdom. This territorial outpouring of the Holy Spirit in power and holiness is the major key, requirement, equipment needed to totally subdue a territory because everyone will be directly or indirectly under the influence. Coronation This is when all the protocols have been adhered to and the demands for a governmental shift completed. At this time, the ecclesia in a given territory begins to gain control of the spiritual structures of their landscape. This control can be manifest in all spheres of the physical society. The organs of the state, entertainment, education, economy etc. is totally influenced by the church and the very philosophy by which this territory runs is that of the kingdom of God. #repost #share
